robbwindow trip to Isle of Man: The Posterous triple Google Buzz message

Posterous, very neat layout and a very good way of sharing information. This is a little experiment. That I am trying through posting on Posterous. I call the experiment The Posterous triple Google Buzz message. You can try it after reading this too if you like. This isn't some plan I've learnt from opting in at the auto responders squeeze page or anything similar. This is just me practising with new media. I say its the first analytic test I have done for a while on the net, so by singling out Posterous I think you can safely assume this is good right? If you reading this on Google Buzz then hey presto whilst your buzzin why not do the same. Simply log into your Posterous account (Usually through the Facebook link right?) and eat two muffins in one basket (ode to the Ponzio scheme I play on Facebook). Without fiurther ado I get on with the experiment ok, good.

So here's the drill- firstly through Posterous the new feature sends you back to your e-mail of choice, in-order to complete the recipe you will have to do this from Posterous's end to initiate the experiment. At the e-mail tab pick G-mail, it asks you to log in and gives you the address to post on Posterous. From here you can start typing like me now, chuckle simple right. Ok well here's my cunning plan, I in my e-mail and the link for Google Buzz is just below the inbox right and if your already following me on Google Buzz then you are already following my Buzz messages, perhaps your even in the Google Waves team. If you are in Google Waves and still waiting for a reason to Wave I will post about that another day, maybe even extend this little ol experiment.

So What's the plan well the plan is simple in this post I will provide a Posterous link to my Posterous page. I will also provide a link to my Google buzz page, I will copy this message from the direct e-mail initiated by Posterous into a Google Buzz post. Therefore bringing two groovy platforms together. If I'm not mistaken I will not have to copy and paste into Tumblr because this message from Posterous should also be posted there but if not I will add that manually to by copying and pasting this original message there. Likewise I shall copy definetely now that I think about it into Soup.io. Yet another early posting imaging system similar to Tumblr.

OK here are the links please add me here if you like the sound of this little experiment to widen your media reach. In-fact you may not have heard of one of these platforms and therefore want to join them to, there all wicked right?

Soup.io http://robbwindow.soup.io/

Posterous http://robbwindow.posterous.com/

Google Buzz http://www.google.com/profiles/robbwindow2009

Google Waves robbwindow2009@gmail.com (Email me and I send you an invite to Google Waves) just label the e-mail Google Waves or something like this ok.

and for good measure

Twitter http://twitter.com/robbwindow

OK Here goes, if it goes well I shall share my analytic results of this and a few other posts after these little experiment, although I am confident it will do something so maybe you can try the same thing to now. Please can you do me a favour if you do retry this experiment I would be grateful if you could retweet or rebuzz or re soup and re tumblr at least some links back to wherever you discovered this experiment please.

Yours sincerely,
Robert Bridge.
P.S. A little extra tip, add some friends whilst sending it out to post@posterous.com to the email.

Robbwindow Top ten trance DJ comment

The trance charts have changed. Armin Van Burrin still stay's at the top and Tiësto is dropping down in the sundries. Tiësto made front page of a homeless magazine distributed here in Britain announcing his change in genre.

The magazine is called The Big Issue and in the magazine's interview with Tiësto
he revealed his reasons for changing genre's. He spoke about one day in Ibiza putting out his true passions for music, of moving into an Electro landscape, he said it went down a storm and defined himself as moving into this new type of hybridised Trance. As a consequence of this he is moving down in the charts.

Ferry Corsten has moved up two places and overtook Tiësto, Ferry has just recently created a private subscription based forum that delivers exclusive inside news about up and coming Trance. But Markus Shulz who like Ferry is a friend on facebook has gone to the number two position in the world of trance Dj's.

I have been very busy lately and what with the trip to Paris and a depletion in health I have been falling back on what's going on in the music scene. But due to this information I have searched for Markus and found a new podcast download on Global Broadcast from Markus Shulz on 12th November 2009.

Below is the link. Additionally Markus is at the cutting edge of Java scripted webdesign and is a regular guest on Radio 1. You can catch him in London in a week at the Ministry of Sound.

So far so good.

This is an emendment on the Facebook friends thing. I get a bit confused and when i mentioned about Markus Shultz being friends on Facebook I meant Mike Mikhjian, I have dispraxia and this is one example of how I get names mixed up maybe that's what draws me to mixing music. Anyway here's a link to Mike's Myspace page he's just posted a couple of new tracks, and I have added one to my profile.

Today 11th of November is my birthday. As a way of celebrating I decided to write this post.

Thank you everyone for reading and following news delivered by myself here on blogspot. It has been a pleasure delivering news and documenting my travels this year. Special mention to all my fellow students and teachers at London Metropolitan University. Also I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank The McLuhan group over on Google for feeding my head with appropriate media studies related info.

Today I am 37. In about two months I will have finished my joint undergraduate bachelor degree. I also would especially like to thank Bob, James, Carolyn, Ion, Kigye, Worster, Channer and last but not least Buzz Coastin who all live in one way and another over on YouTube. Your work mindset and sharing of info and global travel blogs has really made me happy. 2009 will a memorable year one way or another.

Finally I would just quickly like to mention and thank a few more people. All of you over on Blog Catalogue, traffic swarm, and Twitter people. Additionally a big thank you to all the internet marketers who have teached me stuff and put up with all my questions this year (even if I did not by your products). So thanks firstly Bill McIntosh for your weekly Tuesday online show, Shawn Casey for putting me onto Tellman Knudson, and for ringing two weeks ago. Also thanks to Howie Shwartz for your entertaining squeeze pages, Frank Kern and his special guest and white board shows and every other musical artist I have critiqued these few months. Oh also thanks be to marketer Bob Allen for putting me onto Twitter and facebook extension Seesmic and of course all the team members I have not had chance to mention. You have all in one way or another been in my thoughts.

Robbwindow trip to Paris

In this post find more about nepotism and others things like this. Today I am of to Paris to go see a groovy art exhibition in the French city.

I hope to interview the artist who is exhibiting his work, failing that I hope to interview in Palais de le L'alma the French boy who is now president of that big company in France. I think his pops is the main man in France so I might I'm not sure have to go through him and his buddies first.

Chances are though I won't even get past the exchange currency people. I only have pounds in my pocket usually before any trip I would go to a travel agents like Lunn Poly or que in the post office however I 'm not sure if they are already on strike. Seems the best time to leave the country.

Chances are France this time of year will be a bit chilly so I'm bringing me big hooded jacket, just in case though underneath I shall have my thin hooded running jacket. Flying to Paris from Luton. In about 3 hrs I shall leave to get the Ryn Air Bus from Victoria, in an hour or so it will arrive in Luton and thanks to Ryan Air's special offer a couple of months ago I am travelling coach and plane to Paris for less than fifty quid.

The tip is not to have a bag opt out of any travel insurance and travel light. Obviously if you weigh alot travelling light is difficult. My trip to France I bring tooth brush and deodorant and a couple of coursebooks, one on Modernism and architecture and the other is Marshall McLuhan the Medium is the Message, just hope the paperback Marshall McLuhan doesn't get damaged.

the good thing is this years trip I shall constantly be online via the Android phone, I just hope Vodaphone operates as good as they say in Paris. I am also bringing some underwear too. Apart from that that's it really less than ten kilo's is what Ryan Air say so I abide by the rulebook. The bag is light and small enough to squeeze in any cubbyhole on any small plane. I just hope everything runs smoothly.

My favourite thing about Paris apart from the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Damne is the food. My favourite food there used to be baguettes, fresh warm baguettes, however I on a diet, but I do love me French Kebabs. I try and keep you posted, if not keep things running for me please. Feel free to leave a comment or any questions. I relation to nepatism I think it is when a figure of high stature employ's his spouse at an early age to run things in replace of what he used to do. I'm not sure here's an article that might explain it in more detail.

Robbwindow post on VDJing for Dj's in Isle of Man

Are you a DJ still pottering around with vinyl. Are you a VDJ with a DVj 1000 and your struggling to get the full effects from this expensive, yet necessary bit of kit in Clubland. These series of video's will tell you everything you need to understand this new media extension and how to talk the terminology needed to push your way to the top of your DJ'ing game. DVJ Kreil is a doctor of music, a lecturer of Social sciences and new social media and is currently the worlds leading speaker at the UN Speakers summit speaking about the information society. He is also the director of Black Media Swan Media.

Assuming audio mixing is already understood and with the assumption that you like to see video games you will want to illuminate your audience with all your Media extended expressions. Like a game you will have to relearn how to use the controls. This set of video's could possibly be your best way of grappling a greater understanding of expensive new media, that will guarantee you re-ignite your nightlife in your area. Learn about transformers, running your fingers against crossfaders and getting back in touch with old school scratching effects. Don't expect your Dj's to wipe your media tools for you, watch this video and get upto scratch with what's really going on today in big cities clubland.

The next video Charles show you exactly how to use the SVM1000 on the fly (Light laser mixing and intergrating your music, CD's, VHS, Vinyl and telecommunications)

Pioneer SV1 SVM100 utility screen, midi monitors and keyboard languages for those reading this blog from other countries outside of the Isle of Man. Coming to grips with mirror images and utilising space in cramped provided DJ boxes. Timing clocks syncing and toggling signals that trigger messages from Midi back to master monitor. Some good tips about getting booked in clubs and things to avoid when using this type of hardware.

Rob outside St Paul's with a Whippy

This Sunday I did my usual travelling around London. I ended up down by St Paul's Cathedral and I bought a lovely Mr Whippy from the whippy bus.

St Paul's was fun, the journey over the Bridge to the Tat Modern was even better but the ice cream was even nicer. I have to be careful though as you can see all this groovy music and tasty recipes is giving me a chubby belly.

The photograph was taken on Sunday September 2009 by an old friend Lolita, who refrained from being tempted by the whippy and 49 er. I however was not so lucky, love me creams, love icicles and even more I love when I get out there and really explore this lovely city.
